Hesychia Labyrinth
Hesychia means profound interior stillness in Greek language. A 14th century movement of the same name in the Eastern Orthodox Church held that stillness with Good as the core value. This Asia-based retreat is built exactly upon the concept. Functioning as a contemplative, silent prayer center located in Khao Lak, Thailand, they provide a quiet space for Hesychia with God in the midst of a busy world.
No wonder a labyrinth, promoting solitude and stillness, is an integral part of the center. It is based on another European concept - Cretan Labyrinth.
- The 7-course replica of the classical pattern.
- Created with hedges.
- 12 meters in diameter.
The labyrinth is conveniently planted in the prayer garden.
The retreat is located next to beach in one of the lagoons of Andaman Sea.
The retreat's motto: Silence, Solitude, Stillness.
